I'm excited to invite you into The Transmediation Lab.

This is a workshop about translation—not between languages, but between forms. Private text becomes movement. Observation becomes composition. Individual gestures become ensemble pieces.

We'll start with observation, move to private writing, then translate those words into physical phrases—layering them with gestures we've seen each other make. By the end, we'll have built something together, without anyone having to speak a word aloud.

You'll leave with a genuinely collaboratively-made work, and a method for transmediating forms that you can carry into your own practice.

About me: I'm Tristen ZiJuin, a Malaysian, London-based theatre maker and founder of The Fever Kinetic. My work has been recognised with BOH Cameronian Arts Awards and the Mercedes-Benz Creative Excellence Award. I've choreographed for the National Theatre Malaysia, and my practice centres on theatremaking through transmediation.
